Course overview

CISSP is one of the most respected credentials in information security because it tests breadth and judgement rather than tool skills. Candidates must understand security across governance, architecture, networks, identity, testing, operations and software, and answer questions from the viewpoint of a security manager advising the business. This five-day course prepares you to think that way.

The course covers all eight domains of the ISC2 Common Body of Knowledge. Day one covers security and risk management, including governance, compliance, professional ethics, business continuity and risk frameworks, along with asset security. Day two focuses on security architecture and engineering: design principles, security models, cryptography and physical security. Day three addresses communication and network security, followed by identity and access management.

Day four covers security assessment and testing and security operations, including investigations, logging and monitoring, incident management, disaster recovery and change management. Day five addresses software development security and closes with an exam-readiness session focused on the computerised adaptive testing format, time management and how to choose the best answer when several seem correct.

Each domain is taught through practical examples from organisations in India and the Gulf, with regular question practice and discussion. This course is aligned to the CISSP exam and prepares you for it. Certification also requires relevant work experience and endorsement, so check the current requirements on the ISC2 website before booking.

Frequently asked questions

How does the CISSP adaptive exam work?

The English exam uses computerised adaptive testing with 100 to 150 items over up to three hours. The difficulty adjusts to your answers, and the exam ends once you have clearly passed or failed.

What if I do not yet have enough experience?

You can still take the exam. ISC2 offers an Associate of ISC2 route for candidates who pass without the full experience; check ISC2 for the current rules.

How long should I study after the course?

Most working professionals revise for six to ten weeks, using our study plan and practice questions.

Is the course very technical?

It covers technical topics, but the focus is on understanding and judgement. The exam rewards managerial thinking over tool knowledge.

Can you run CISSP preparation for our security team?

Yes. Private batches can be scheduled around work commitments, including weekend formats.
