Course overview

Materials management keeps a business supplied: it buys the right goods at the right price, receives and stores them, and makes sure every movement is valued correctly in finance. SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement remains one of the most requested SAP skills in Indian manufacturing, retail and consulting. This six-day course teaches it through configuration and practice.

Day one sets up the organisational structure — plants, storage locations, purchasing organisations and groups — and the master data that procurement depends on: the material master, business partners for suppliers and purchasing info records. Day two works through the purchasing cycle: requisitions, requests for quotation, purchase orders, contracts and scheduling agreements, source lists and quota arrangements.

Day three goes deeper into purchasing configuration: document types, number ranges, field selection, release strategies, conditions and pricing procedures, and output. Day four covers inventory management: goods receipts, goods issues, transfer postings, stock types, special stocks such as consignment and subcontracting, reservations and physical inventory.

Day five explains valuation and account determination — valuation areas and classes, price control, the material ledger and automatic account assignment — and then logistics invoice verification, tolerances, blocked invoices and GR/IR clearing. Day six introduces MRP basics and consumption-based planning, then closes with an exam readiness session.

This course is aligned to the SAP Certified Associate exam in SAP S/4HANA sourcing and procurement (base code C_TS452). Ace Skills is not an SAP partner and does not use official SAP courseware. Exam codes carry a release suffix, so please confirm the current code on SAP Learning before booking.
