Understand what AI on Azure can and cannot do, try it yourself in the browser and prepare for the AI-901 exam in one day.

Clear explanations of models, prompts, grounding and agents help you judge real proposals rather than repeat buzzwords.
You deploy a model, test prompts, ground a chat in your own document and analyse images — all in the browser.
Each scenario is examined for fairness, privacy and reliability, which is how both employers and the exam frame AI decisions.
If you were preparing for AI-900, the course covers its foundations plus the newer emphasis on generative AI and agents.
AI is now part of almost every technology roadmap, and people in every role are expected to discuss it sensibly — what a language model is, why grounding matters, where an agent helps and where it creates risk. This one-day course gives you that understanding through clear explanations and short, browser-based labs on Azure.
The morning starts with core concepts: machine learning, the difference between predictive and generative AI, how large language models produce text, and what tokens, prompts and embeddings are. You then explore Azure AI Foundry, deploy a model, test prompts in the playground and see how retrieval-augmented generation grounds answers in your own content.
After lunch the course widens to agents and to the established AI workloads: computer vision, speech, natural language processing and document processing. Each is introduced with a practical business example and a short lab. Responsible AI runs through the whole day — fairness, reliability, privacy, transparency and accountability are discussed alongside each scenario rather than saved for the end.
The final session explains how fundamentals exams are structured and works through practice questions with explanations, so you know what to revise before booking.
This course is aligned to the AI-901 exam, reported as the successor to AI-900, which retired on 30 June 2026. Because the exam is new, confirm its current outline on Microsoft Learn before you book.
