Why learn AZ-900 with Ace Skills

  • Cloud vocabulary that sticks

Service models, regions, zones and shared responsibility explained with examples you can repeat in your next project meeting.

  • Learn by clicking, not just listening

You deploy a VM, a storage account and a policy yourself, so the services feel familiar when they appear in exam questions.

  • Mapped to the AZ-900 outline

Every block lines up with one of the three exam skill areas, and the closing quiz shows where to revise.

  • A clean starting point

The day sets you up for associate-level paths such as AZ-104, AZ-305, DP-900 or SC-900 without repeating basics later.

Course overview

Most cloud conversations in a project meeting assume you already know what a region is, why a managed service costs less to run than a virtual machine, or who is responsible for patching what. This one-day course gives you that foundation quickly. It is designed for technical and non-technical professionals alike, and it uses the Azure portal throughout so the ideas stay concrete rather than theoretical.

The morning covers cloud concepts — service models, deployment models, the shared responsibility model and the consumption-based way cloud is paid for — before moving into Azure architecture: regions, availability zones, subscriptions and resource groups. You then look at the main compute, networking and storage services and when each one is the sensible choice.

The afternoon turns to identity, security and governance. You will see how Microsoft Entra ID, multifactor authentication and Conditional Access protect sign-ins, how Azure Policy, resource locks and tags keep an estate organised, and how cost tools such as the pricing calculator and Cost Management help a team stay within budget. Monitoring tools including Azure Advisor and Service Health round off the day.

Short labs follow each block, so you deploy a virtual machine, create a storage account and apply a policy yourself instead of only watching slides. The final session explains the question styles you will meet and walks through a practice quiz with every answer explained.

The course is aligned to the published AZ-900 skills outline. Microsoft revises its exams from time to time, so confirm the current outline on Microsoft Learn before you book.
