Course overview
Every SAP S/4HANA landscape depends on Basis administrators to keep it available, secure and up to date. The role spans the application server, the SAP HANA database, users and authorisations, transports between systems and day-to-day monitoring. This six-day course teaches those responsibilities hands-on in a training system.
The first two days explain how an S/4HANA system is built: the AS ABAP architecture, instances, work processes, the dispatcher and the message server, and the essentials of SAP HANA administration. You will start and stop systems, read profile parameters and work with the main administration transactions in SAP GUI and SAP Fiori.
The middle of the course covers the work administrators do every week. You will create users, design roles with the profile generator, set up clients and copy them, configure the Transport Management System and move changes through a three-system landscape. Background job scheduling, printing and spool administration follow.
The final days focus on keeping systems healthy: monitoring with the system log, dumps, workload analysis and SAP Solution Manager or Cloud ALM concepts, kernel updates, SPAM and SUM awareness, backup and recovery for HANA, system copy concepts and SAP Fiori launchpad administration basics.
This course is aligned to the SAP Certified Technology Consultant – SAP S/4HANA System Administration exam (C_TADM). Ace Skills is not an SAP partner and this is not official SAP training. SAP exam codes carry a release suffix that changes, so please confirm the current code on SAP Learning before booking.
