Why SAP?

Why learn SAP?

SAP runs finance, procurement, sales, manufacturing and HR for a large share of the world’s biggest companies, and India is one of the largest hubs for SAP implementation and support work. With many organisations moving from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, and adding cloud products such as SuccessFactors, Ariba, Analytics Cloud and the Business Technology Platform, demand for people who understand both the business process and the system remains strong.

SAP skills are valuable because they sit at the meeting point of business and technology. A finance professional who understands how the general ledger is configured, or a developer who knows how ABAP works on S/4HANA, can contribute to projects that change how an entire company operates. Our courses focus on that understanding rather than on memorising transaction codes.

Functional and technical tracks

  • Functional modules — Financial Accounting (FI), Management Accounting (CO), Sourcing and Procurement (MM), Sales (SD), Production Planning (PP), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Asset Management (PM) and Quality Management (QM).
  • Human capital and cloud procurement — SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP Ariba Procurement.
  • Technical roles — ABAP Cloud development, Fiori and SAPUI5, system administration (Basis), and integration on SAP BTP.
  • Analytics and data — SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP BW/4HANA data modelling.
  • Security and governance — SAP authorisations and GRC Access Control.

How to choose your SAP path

If you are new to SAP, start with our S/4HANA overview course. It explains how the modules connect, how a sales order or purchase order flows through the system, and what consultants actually do on a project. From there, pick a module that matches your background: commerce and accounting graduates often choose FI and then CO, supply chain professionals lean towards MM, SD or EWM, and engineers with programming experience usually head for ABAP, Fiori or Basis.

Every SAP associate exam assumes practical understanding, so our batches combine concept sessions with system walkthroughs and guided exercises wherever system access allows. Trainers also help you build a realistic study plan around work, and explain how the exam topic areas map to what you will do on a real project.

Ace Skills Consulting is an independent training provider. Our SAP courses are aligned to the published SAP certification topic areas, but they are not official SAP training and we do not use SAP courseware.

SAP certification codes carry a release suffix (for example C_TS4FI followed by a year or release number) and change as SAP updates its exams. Always confirm the current exam code, topics and booking rules on SAP Learning before you book.

SAP FAQs

What is the difference between functional and technical SAP modules?

Functional modules such as FI, MM and SD configure business processes, so they suit people with finance, supply chain or sales backgrounds. Technical tracks such as ABAP, Fiori, Basis and Integration Suite focus on development, administration and integration, and suit people with IT or programming experience.

Which SAP module should I choose?

Choose the module closest to your education or work experience, because SAP projects value domain knowledge as much as system skills. If you are unsure, start with the S/4HANA overview course and speak to a counsellor about your background.

Do I need my own SAP system access?

No. SAP systems are licensed, so access arrangements vary by course and batch; where a training system is not available, we use guided walkthroughs and trainer demonstrations. We explain the arrangement for your batch before enrolment.

Is the SAP exam fee included in the course?

Exam fees are not included unless your quote says so. SAP sells exam access through SAP Learning, and its pricing and booking rules change, so confirm them there before you buy.

Should I learn SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA?

Learn S/4HANA. Most new projects and migrations target S/4HANA, and SAP has announced end of mainstream maintenance for ECC, although many companies still run it. Our courses point out the key differences where they matter.

Do these courses guarantee a job or an exam pass?

No. We teach the skills and cover the exam topic areas thoroughly, but exam results and hiring decisions depend on your preparation and on employers. We do not offer placement or pass guarantees.
