Course overview

Production planning sits at the heart of every manufacturing business on SAP, and consultants and key users who understand the full plan-to-produce cycle are in steady demand across Indian manufacturing firms and SAP delivery centres. This five-day course walks through that cycle in SAP S/4HANA, with labs at every step.

The first two days build the foundation: the organisational structure for manufacturing, the MRP and work scheduling views of the material master, bills of material, work centres, routings and production versions. You will create and link this master data yourself so that later planning runs make sense.

Day three moves to planning: sales and operations planning concepts, demand management with planned independent requirements, planning strategies, and MRP Live on SAP HANA. You will read the stock/requirements list, evaluate exceptions and convert planned orders.

Days four and five cover execution and integration: the production order lifecycle from creation to settlement, confirmations and goods movements, capacity evaluation and levelling, an introduction to process orders and repetitive manufacturing, and how PP connects with materials management and controlling. The course closes with an exam readiness session.

This course is aligned to the SAP Certified Associate exam for production planning and manufacturing (base code C_TS422). Ace Skills is not an SAP partner and does not use official SAP courseware. SAP adds a release suffix to its exam codes and updates them regularly, so please confirm the current code and requirements on SAP Learning before booking.
