Course overview

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is increasingly used by organisations that run Oracle databases and applications, including many in banking, government and ERP-heavy enterprises. This one-day course gives you a structured introduction to OCI and its core services, whether you are technical or not.

The morning covers cloud concepts and OCI’s architecture — regions, availability and fault domains — followed by identity and access management with compartments, users, groups and policies. You will then explore core services: compute instances, block, object and file storage, virtual cloud networks and their gateways, and Oracle’s database offerings, including Autonomous Database.

The afternoon focuses on security and governance: the shared responsibility model, encryption and key management, security services, tagging, budgets, cost analysis and pricing models, support plans and service limits. Short guided demonstrations in the OCI console make each service concrete.

The day finishes with an exam readiness session covering question styles and practice questions with explanations.

This course is aligned to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Associate exam. Oracle publishes this exam with a year-based code suffix; please confirm the current version and details on Oracle University before booking.
