Lead programmes that deliver strategic benefits, and prepare for the PMI PgMP application and exam.

Connect programme decisions to organisational strategy and measurable benefits.
Design boards, decision rights and assurance that keep component projects aligned.
Learn how to describe your programme experience clearly for the panel review.
PgMP signals the ability to manage complex, multi-project initiatives.
Programme managers coordinate several related projects so that together they deliver benefits that no single project could. The work is strategic: aligning with organisational goals, managing benefits over time, engaging senior stakeholders and setting up governance that lets component projects move quickly without losing control. PgMP is PMI's certification for experienced programme managers, and this four-day course prepares you for it.
Day one covers strategic alignment: business cases, programme charters, roadmaps and how programmes relate to portfolios and organisational strategy. Day two focuses on benefits management, from identifying and analysing benefits to planning, delivering, transitioning and sustaining them. Day three deals with stakeholder engagement and programme governance, including governance boards, decision rights, assurance and risk. Day four covers the programme life cycle, from definition through delivery to closure, and finishes with exam strategy.
The course uses one programme case throughout. You will build a benefits register and map, design a governance structure, analyse stakeholders at executive level and plan a programme roadmap. These exercises reflect the judgement-based questions in the exam and the kind of experience you need to describe in your application.
PgMP has a demanding application, including a panel review of your programme experience before you can sit the exam. We explain how to describe your experience clearly. This course is aligned to the PgMP exam as published by PMI; confirm the current outline, eligibility and fees on the PMI website before applying.
